Sightsavers

Once you’ve signed up for the Polaroid 10K Series, you might like to make it a fundraising event. If you’re looking to run for a charity, one option could be supporting Polaroid Eyewear’s chosen charity, Sightsavers.

The crucial work of Sightsavers helps restore sight and prevent blindness in children and adults living in some of the world’s poorest countries. Every pound you raise will help make a huge difference. £1 could help 20 people combat river blindness, and £1 could protect 2 people against trachoma, the eye disease which causes blindness.

If you’d like to get involved and support Sightsavers as you run, email events@sightsavers.org and let them know which run you are taking part in. Or you can set up a Sightsavers fundraising page with Virgin Money Giving or JustGiving, and they’ll let Sightsavers know for you.

Sightsavers will be there to support you in your fundraising efforts every step of the way, and will supply a running vest and other goodies to help you reach your goal.
